Rhipe Microsoft CSP
Overview
Rhipe is the leading expert in subscription software. It distributes and aggregates subscription licensing models for Service Providers from many of the world’s leading software vendors including Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, Citrix, Veeam, Trend Micro, Sinefa and DocuSign. Rhipe Microsoft CSP module for HostBill allows to resell Microsoft cloud products such as Microsoft 365, Office 365, Dynamics 365 or Azure using Rhipe platform. With the HostBill module you can easily import the whole product portfolio from Rhipe with price overrides and all existing accounts/licenses. HostBill will not only handle your billing but also automatically create and terminate products and handle upgrades and downgrades.
Activating the module
- If the module is included in your HostBill edition you can download it from your client portal.
- If the module is not included in your HostBill edition you can purchase it from our marketplace and then download it from the client area.
- Once you download the module extract it in the main HostBill directory.
- Go to Settings → Modules → Hosting Modules, find and activate Rhipe Microsoft CSP module.
Requesting API credentials from Rhipe
To request access to the PRISM API’s simply go into PRISM Portal and click into the “Customer Management” section.
Against your Customer (should be the first on the list) click View. On the “Customer Details” page you will see a “Manage Client Credentials” button where you can request a Client ID and Client Secret.
Connecting HostBill with Rhipe Microsoft CSP
- Proceed to Settings → Apps → Add new App
- From Applications list select Rhipe Microsoft CSP
- Enter:
- Username - Username is the ID used by the reseller to log in to the Rhipe Microsoft CSP platform. This account allows you to manage Microsoft subscriptions and services for your customers.
- Password - The password is a confidential phrase used along with the username to authenticate access to the Rhipe Microsoft CSP platform. It should be strong to ensure account security.
- Test Mode - Test mode is an option that allows you to simulate provisioning and subscription management processes in a test environment, without affecting actual accounts and services. It is used to check configuration and integration before deployment in production.
- Tenant ID for products - Tenant ID is a unique identifier assigned to a customer (tenant) using Microsoft products through the Rhipe platform. It is used to manage products and licenses assigned to a specific tenant.
4. Verify entered credentials by clicking Test Connection to check if HostBill can connect.
5. Save Changes
Adding Rhipe Microsoft CSP product
- In HostBill go to Settings → Products & Services, and Add new order page.
- From order types select Other Services.
- Enter your orderpage name, select orderpage template. Save Changes.
- Add new product in the new orderpage. Provide product name and setup price and then Save Changes.
- In product configuration section proceed to Connect with App, select Rhipe Microsoft CSP and App server created in previous steps.
- Click the Get values from server button to load the package list.
- Configure module connection settings:
- Primary domain -The primary domain is the domain address used by the customer (tenant) under the Microsoft subscription. It is the primary domain to which user accounts and services are assigned.
- Package - Package refers to the set of Microsoft products or services offered to a customer. It can include software licenses, cloud services and other resources tailored to the customer's needs.
- Contract Agreement - A contract agreement is a formal agreement between a reseller and a customer for the provision of Microsoft services. It defines the terms, prices, terms of service and other key aspects of the business relationship.
- Microsoft Agreement - A Microsoft Agreement is a formal agreement between a customer and Microsoft required to use Microsoft products and services. It includes provisions for licensing, usage and regulatory compliance.
- Microsoft Cloud Agreement - A Microsoft Cloud Agreement is a specific type of agreement required to access Microsoft cloud services. It is a document that defines the terms of use of cloud services, including licensing terms and data protection policies.
- Quantity - Quantity refers to the number of licenses, subscriptions or services purchased or available within a given package.

Importing Rhipe Microsoft CSP products
Once the first package is configured, you can have HostBill automatically import remaining Microsoft CSP products offered by Rhipe, as well as keep their prices/portfolio in sync.
To manage importer, visit Extras → Import Services → Import Products

Configuring Client Functions
In Products & Services → Your Order Page → Your Product → Client Functions you can control what features customer will have access to in client portal, by clicking Enable/Disable next to the given option.
Use Edit button to adjust function appearance in the client portal.
For Rhipe Microsoft CSP you can enable Show subscription details client function, allowing your customer to display basic purchased product details in client portal, including:
- Customer Reference
- Customer Name
- Tenant Reference
- Subscription Reference
- Domain
