Proxmox Mail Gateway

Overview


Proxmox Mail Gateway is an open-source email security solution designed to protect mail servers against all email threats from the moment they emerge.  The HostBill integration enables to provision and bill your clients for Proxmox Mail Gateway Security services.

Activating the module


  1. If the module is included in your HostBill edition you can download it from your client portal.
  2. If the module is not included in your HostBill edition you can purchase it from our marketplace and then download it from the client area.
  3. Once you download the module extract it in the main HostBill directory.
  4. Go to Settings → Modules → Hosting Modules, find and activate Proxmoxmailgateway module.

Connecting HostBill with Proxmox Mail Gateway


  1. Proceed to Settings → Apps → Add new App
  2. From Applications list select Proxmox Mail Gateway
  3. Enter:
    • Name - Name of this connection
    • Hostname - hostname of your Proxmox Installation
    • IP Address - IP address of Proxmox installation, if hostname is not available
    • Username - your Proxmox username, use yourusername@pam if PAM auth is used at Proxmox Mail Gateway
    • Password - your Proxmox password
    • Port - your Proxmox port, defaults to 8006
    • Secure - tick to use SSL Mode for Connections

      4. Verify entered credentials by clicking Test Connection to check if HostBill can connect
      5. Save Changes


Adding Proxmox Mail Gateway package


  1. In HostBill go to Settings → Products & Services, and Add new order page
  2. From Order Types select Other Services
  3. After creating order page add new product in it, provide name & Save changes
  4. In product configuration section proceed to Connect with App, select Proxmox Mail module and App server created in previous steps.
  5. Proceed to configuration wizard and set your:
    1. Transport Host
    2. Transport Port
    3. Transport Protocol - smtp or lmpt
    4. Enable MX lookups (SMPT)
  6. Submit changes, your package is ready

Configuring Client Functions   


In Products & Services → Your Order Page → Your Product → Client Functions you can control what features customer will have access to in client portal, by clicking Enable/Disable next to the given option.
Use Edit button to adjust function appearance in the client portal.
