Postmark Mail
Overview
Postmark helps to deliver transactional emails for web applications. In a nutshell, the service replaces SMTP with a far more reliable, scalable and care-free environment. HostBill integration allows you to send transactional emails, triggered by certain user action such as: account confirmation, order receipt, password reset etc. using Postmark Mail. Postmark transactional email services ensure better delivery rate for all of your important messages to improve your customer satisfaction and increase revenue preventing you from loosing your customers.
Activating the module
- This plugin is free and available to all HostBill users (provided you're using the latest version)
- Once you download the plugin extract it in the main HostBill directory.
- Go to Settings → Modules, find and activate Postmark Mail plugin
- Once the plugin is activated you will be directed to Settings→ Modules→ Plugins to configure the plugin.
Module configuration
Fill in the configuration fields:
- API Key
Obtaining API key from Postmark
First of all you must have an active Postmark account.
Log in to your Postmark account.
To use the Postmark service, first you must have a confirmed domain:
- Go to the Sender Signature at the top menu
- Click on the Create Domain or Signature button and follow the instructions to create the domain
- Next click on the DNS Settings button and follow the instructions to verify the domain
To obtain your API token:
- Go to the Servers at the top menu
- Use the Create button to create the server following the instructions
- Click on the created Server and go to the Credentials tab of selected server
- Copy the Server API Token and enter it in the appropriate field in the module's configuration
Click the Save changes button.
