Sparkpost Mail
Overview
Sparpost is one of the most performant email delivery service. HostBill integration allows you to send transactional emails, triggered by certain user action such as: account confirmation, order receipt, password reset etc. using Sparkpost Mail. Sparkpost transactional email services ensure better delivery rate for all of your important messages to improve your customer satisfaction and increase revenue preventing you from loosing your customers.
Activating the module
- This plugin is free and available to all HostBill users (provided you're using the latest version)
- Once you download the plugin extract it in the main HostBill directory
- Go to Settings → Modules, find and activate Sparkpost Mail plugin
- Once the plugin is activated you will be directed to Settings→ Modules→ Plugins to configure the plugin
Module configuration
Fill in the configuration fields:
- API Key
You can also choose whether you want to use test mode or not marking the Test Mode checkbox.
Obtaining API key from Sparkpost
First of all you must have an active Sparkpost account.
Log in to your Sparkpost account.
To obtain the API key:
- Go to the top menu: Settings → Api Keys
- Click on the Create API Key button
- Enter the name of the API key in the API Key name field, select all permissions option in the checkbox and generate a new key by clicking the Create API Key button
- Copy the API key and enter it in the appropriate field in the module's configuration
Click the Save changes button.
