Overview

The Swiss QR Code plugin for HostBill allows to render and add QR codes that hold the payment-relevant information to the invoices generated by HostBill.

Activating the module

  1. If the plugin is included in your HostBill edition you can download it from your client portal.

  2. If the plugin is not included in your HostBill edition you can purchase it from our marketplace and then download it from the client area.

  3. Once you download the plugin extract it in the main HostBill directory.

  4. Go to Settings → Modules, find and activate SWISS QR Code plugin. 

  5. Once the plugin is activated you will be directed to Settings→ Modules→ Plugins to configure the plugin.

Module configuration

Fill in the configuration fields:

  1. Module display name

How the module works

In Extras → Plugins → Swiss QR Code you can define:

  • creditor accounts, one per currency you have configured in HostBill

  • which payment method QR code should be rendered for

In the invoice template at the bottom, add the variable {$swissqr}.

The module will render QR code only if:

  • Creditor using invoice currency is present in module configuration

  • Invoice is using configured payment method

  • Invoice is unpaid

If above requirements are met, and invoice template does contain {$swissqr} tag, but no QR is rendered, check Extras -> System Logs -> Main Log file -> swissqr.log
