Nexmo Verify

Overview


Nexmo Verify is a part of SMS Verification module - it's intended to verify customer profile using nexmo Verify API. 

Note: Make sure module SMS Verification is disabled before using this plugin.

Activating the module


This plug-in will require working HostBill installation and at least one active SMS Notification module. Installation can be done in three steps:

  1. If SMS Verification plugin is included in your HostBill edition you can download it from your client portal.
  2. If SMS Verification plugin is not included in your HostBill edition you can purchase it from our marketplace and then download it from the client area.
  3. Once you download the plugin extract it in the main HostBill directory.
  4. Activate Nexmo Verify module it in your module manager in HostBIll
  5. Once the plugin is activated you will be directed to Settings→ Modules→ Plugins to configure the plugin.

Module configuration


Fill in the configuration fields:

  1. Provide Nexmo API Key and API Secret - both are available in your Nexmo account details.
  2. Enter Resend limit - how many times customers will be able to resend verification sms before module will block the attempts.
  3. Provide Client mobile field - field variable name from Clients→ Registration fields responsible for storing customer mobile phone number. This field should be set as required.


Using the module


After installation, whenever a new customer signs up he/she will be prompted to enter SMS verification code that Nexmo will send to them upon signup. Module effectively blocks customer action until their account will be verified.


Additionally, as a staff member you will be able to manually set customer status to verified/not-verified. Setting customer as not-verified will automatically send verification sms to this customer again.
