HostBill MultiBrand Groups

Overview


The MultiBrand Groups module extends the MultiBrand module by allowing clients to use the same access details for all brands in the same group. Depending on the module settings, you can display services/domains/invoices etc. only from a specific brand or all brands from the same group to which the client belongs.

Activating the module


  1. If the plugin is included in your HostBill edition you can download it from your client portal.

  2. If the plugin is not included in your HostBill edition you can purchase it from our marketplace and then download it from the client area.

  3. Once you download the plugin extract it in the main HostBill directory.

  4. Go to Settings → Modules, find and activate HostBill MultiBrand plugin.

  5. Once the plugin is activated you will be directed to Settings→ Modules→ Plugins to configure the plugin.

Module Configuration


Configuration options that can be set for the module:

  • Filter - Allows you to choose how individual items (services/domains/invoices etc.) are displayed. Available options are:

    • Show items only from user brand

    • Show items from brands in the same group

    • Show items from all brands

  • Payment - Limits payment options to those offered by the brand the client signed up with

  • Disable Invoice Merge - Depending on Filter settings, this module may alow merge invoices with items from mixed brands if those are in te same group. Enable this option if you want to prevent merge invoices that include items from different brands.

  • Recalculate invoice by User Currency - Recalculate the invoice currency to the value of the "User Currency" option set for the brand

  • Client Credit - Defines how client credit is to be added. Available options are:

    • Shared credit across brands within group

    • Separate credit across brands

Configuring a group


To add a group for a brand, go to the brand configuration and then set the group name in the Groups field. One brand can belong to several groups.

In the brand list view, there will be an additional column informing which groups the brand belongs to
