This module is deprecated / using old stripe APIs. Consider using Stripe Intents 3D Secure instead

Overview

HostBill supports Stripe Token payment gateway for collecting payments out of the box.

Activating the module

In order to activate the module login to your HostBill admin panel, go to Settings → Modules → Payment Modules, choose StripeToken (stripecc) gateway and click Activate.

Please note:

In order for the gateway to work properly you need to configure the Webhook. Please see the external article on Webhook setup.

Once the payment gateway is activated you need to configure it.

Then proceed to filling in all other configuration fields:

Secret Key - to obtain the Secret Key log into your Stripe Account and select API from the Your Account drop down menu. Navigate to the API tab, where you'll find the secret key.
Statement Descriptor

You can obtain details for Stripe Token gateway module from the gateway/merchant account provider.

Note:

Only Secret key is required for Stripe Token gateway to work.

FAQ

Question: I've enabled the module but it does not display in my client portal.
Answer: This module does not support the currency you attempt to display it in, please use background currency conversion.

Question: How would transactions sent from HostBill appear in my Stripe dashboard?

Answer: HostBill sends transaction description as: "Your Business Name - Invoice #ID". You can update your business name in HostBill General Settings - General. You can setup your invoice numeration settings in HostBill Billing Settings - Billing
